MAY 25TH- FINAL VIDEO SHOOT WITH BURNING CAR!!!

I’m so glad to hear that you are all interested in the video. I do not have the finished project yet to show anyone yet. I also still need to bring in one more musician for the song to be edited and mastered. I plan to have a video/cd release party this summer and have it all for sale. But before that, I will post clips of the music and video on my blog as soon as I can. In May we are finishing the video shoot so I PROMISE I will make it clear on my blog when you have an opportunity to see and hear more of the video. Also, more pictures from the shoot will be posted on my website soon. It’s getting closer and I can’t wait. So far Mike Myers is doing a great job mixing in the studio and I am really proud of the song so I hope I can get it out to all of you as soon as possible.

VIOLET SKY: MUSIC VIDEO IN LAS VEGAS

SO HERE’S THE SCOOP on my latest going ons. I just shot my first music video and it took us all to Las Vegas. My video is for an original song called “Violet Sky”. The story of the song that lead the team of videographers and photographers to take on this project is very detailed but also not all so plainly put. In short, a young woman is swept up by a 2-sided guy who romantically takes her away but once headed south, there is a sudden and consistenly stronger change in the wind. As a violet sky meets her on an empty road, she is overwhelmed by the peaceful sensation it brings after having lived a day of no fear, pure desperation and absolutely no turning back.  

Shooting the video was such an experience. It started with a 16 hour travel period just trying to get to Las Vegas. Luckily I had the company of my good friend and fellow musician, Jeremiah James. I am so glad he agreed to be in the video and portray someone very different from his own character. And thank you Jeremy for letting me kill you after you chased me down. I had to. He helped in many ways, especially in making the traveling and hard work with no sleep at all, actually fun.  After meeting Sean Penn in the Las Angeles Airport, we landed in Vegas and instantly got ready for the shoot. It was  -80 degrees, well  a little warmer but I was in a dress and trying to look my best with rain and ostrich egg sized goosebumps . But man did we have a sweet car to drive. A ’58′ Pontiac StarChief convertable with hot red leather interior came with an Elvis cd in the cd player. Thank Joe for helping us decide. I knew you would pick the greatest car. We had the top down and my sister Sarah was driving. That hot blonde in a leather jacket and behind that pur, absolutely turned heads all day and night. Jeremy finally got to drive it for the video. We did several different scenes and eventually ended up on the strip of vegas driving with the top down and a camera planted on the front of the car. With the freezing wind through my hair at 2am the next morning, Dave Williams, the head videographer was running down the blocks making sure is camera was ok and directing us. Jeremy and I have now been awake for over 48 hours but it was all worth it. Looking back I am full of gratitude and excitement. I was so blessed to see so many well respected professionals working so creatively and passionately on my video. On top of that they were so fun and very sweet holding the blanket for me between shots. Thanks guys. There was an awesome professional team behind the cameras who all came from philadelphia.

THE TEAM: My project director and photographer is Sarah DiCicco of Sarah DiCicco Photography, who made this all really happen in a matter of 10 minutes (two weeks before Vegas Time).  Also Tony DiCicco of DiCicco Advertising Group kept us all sain and covered the areas of marketing, and photography. He also manages and designed my website. I  love you both and never would have attempted this dream without either of you. You are both brilliant and inspiring. The next hugely important team member is the wonderful and highly acknowledged Videography director Dave Williams  and his supportive, very creative and energetic crew Jordan Oplinger  Matt Jeppsen, and Abad Rosa. All were a vital part of the project and I absolutely needed you all. Thank you.  

Dave talked more about the shooting of the video in his blog. Further updates on the video and music will be posted asap in the next couple of months.  We are still looking forward to the last shoot where we blow up a car.  All of the pictures are by Sarah Dicicco Photography from the video shoots. The music is written by myself Hannah Violet and engineered and produced by Mike Myers, from Philadelphia. Thank you Mike for going head to head with me and staying in tune with what I was looking for. Your friendship and awesome beautiful talent continue to take my music to higher places. Thank you to Rhea Turningheart who designed and made me my turquiose cross necklace that I don’t travel anywhere with out. She also beaded the guitar strap in the video. It is so awesome! Thank you to my family and friends who truly support me and this project. “I love yous”!

WEDNESDAY JANUARY 14TH   at “Alexander’s Restaurant”

Thank you to all my friends and family that came out to TC’s on Thanksgiving eve to hear me perform my first “Hannah Violet” gig with Jeremy Warke and my father Mitch Miller. We had full house and Ted and Rick are awesome. They asked me to come back in the spring so thank you to those who heard me for the first time and hung out all night long. What an awesome time. I had so  much fun and it felt good to do some cover songs such as “Alabama, Cross Canadian Ragweed”, “Jolene”, “Live Forever, by Billy Joe Shaver” and other of my favorite rock/country/folk songs. We did a little bit of bluegrass on dual fiddles and originals like “Hearts on the ground”, “Violet Sky”, “Just Leave”, “He’s mine” etc.  It was such a treat for me and I’ll let you know when Jeremy, dad, and I play together again. Thanks to sweet wonderful Joe for coming up for his first live performance and singing and playing harmonica with me. To both of our families, you were such entertainment for me, thank you for being so much fun and supportive. The old Buck Wyld group, thanks for singing along and shoutin out old fav’s. All true reasons why it was worth moving back home from tn. Love yas

So I’m back home in Pa and settlin back in to old routine, new beginnings, and adding more experiences to this stream of life. For those who have been asking, I will not be going back to the buck-wyld band www.buck-wyld.com . Luckily Moe the drummer is still much like my brother and I still love to try and catch up with or run into all of the wonderful people and friends who came out those 3 years of buck-wyld. I haven’t given up on playing in bands though. Since I’ve been home, I have started playing with Tandem, www.tandemsing.com. They are also a country/rock cover band but they also incorporate their original music as well, which I LOVE! They’ve been around for years but travel and are a hard working yet really nice group of guys.They are wonderful to me and I’m playing fiddle, acoustic guitar, and vocals. They play more gigs outside of the area but I’m hoping eventually we might be able to play at Demarcos or TC’s. It would be nice to play at my old favorite venues and the places where you all can come back out and bring your little cutie pie children if you have any. Either way, I know many of you have been saying that since the original buck-wyld broke up you are looking for good music again to come out and listen to. Well, I’m working on it. And if I find some other great bands that I want to go out and hear, I will let you all know and we can all meet up to hear them. That’d be so much fun. We’ll get a round of tequila!

Anyways, I’m going to post all of the dates of gigs that I am playing with Tandem. Check them out. It’s been really awesome lately because we play for all of the shartlesville rodeos, which Joe rides in so that’s really cool. I sing, he rides, and family and friends have a great time. You should come out, we have 2 more coming up. If you don’t know Joe, he’s the one in the cowboy hat.  ha ha ha if that doesn’t help, he’s the sexiest one up there. That’s all the info I will give you until I introduce you. “wink” See you soon!

Sal gal and I are starting to realize just how close we are to the end of our lease and the end of our fantasy year long trip. I’m saying right now that I plan to come back to Nashville once a year for the rest of my life so anyone who wants to come with me, start getting ready. You have over a year to start planning. I’ll have to keep coming back to check on the little piece of my heart that I’ll leave behind. It would be great to show it to you when I rediscover it year after year. Speaking of, it’s time for tequila and pool. I will sip it for you U. Butch and Dad! I will catch up with you all soon. Love yous

Hey Guys!

Guess what? I’m coming home in April for a couple of days to start working on my cd again. Tn has put a bit of a hult on the project but my producer Mike Myers and I are back on track and I have a lot of new songs that I can’t wait to put on the cd. Then you can finally see another side of me.  I’m so excited. There are so many songs that I want to put on the cd but we also want to finish it this year so we’ve had to cut a few. I will keep you informed with any updates. Speaking of songwriting, I love the bluebird but I recently tried out a new songwriter’s night at the Commodore Lounge in West End and to my surprise, I ran into JIM FEMINO. If you don’t know him, look him up on MySpace. He’s a brilliant songwriter from our neck the woods in Pa and is really hilarious and absolutely genuinely great to talk to. We (Buck Wyld) covered two of his songs, one being “Asphalt in Arkansas”. I met him quick at our first annual Yee-Haw at the Fleetwood fire company, but now to run into him, was so cool.  He sounded so good that night singing one song after another. He had to run to the CMT studio but then I took a seat on the stage and sang “Next To You”. This is one of my newest songs which I wrote for Joe and I decided the second before I sang that I would play this slow song. I was the last songwriter of the night which almost made it feel even more special and intimate. I received some of the most important compliments I could have ever heard that night. My voice didn’t give me any problems and my heart was absolutely laying out on my guitar. Everything felt so vulnerable but safe and right. I haven’t been able to take any of my friends or family that have visited me to an open mic but maybe when my parents come next week, we will make get to one. The rest of the music-filled week will be of my father 10 steps in front of me walking to the next Irish session after the next and my mother just smiling at me as I try to follow in his footsteps and not get tired. Dad, I can’t wait to play some new tunes with you. Honestly, I’ve been practicing!!!!!
